Hurricane Recovery Cemetery Consultation

NCPTT

NCPTT

NCPTT recently provided a daylong consultation with David Patterson and Brett Smith of Sipapu Cemetery Services.

Patterson and Smith are working through a variety of disaster relief organizations, including the Disaster Mortuary Team and with the Louisiana Family Assistance program, to provide assistance in south Louisiana after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Extensive damage has been reported in 82 cemeteries along the Louisiana Gulf Coast.

NCPTT is continuing to look into options for providing technical assistance including the development of a specialized disaster recovery workshop for these cemeteries.
