Heritage Education at Risk

On July 16, 2008, Christine Faith hosted a TEL Event entitled Heritage Education at Risk: Why We Must Engage Formal Education Systems, which is now available as a streaming video on the NCPTT web site. This TEL examined how National parks have the ability to help heritage education reach new heights, and how NPS interpreters are the key to that solution. The audience learned why engaging local schools and monitoring national education trends will increase their ability to bring students to their cultural resource, while broadening the educational opportunities for those young learners.
