Support Your Park

When you go into a National Park Service visitor center, often tucked away to one side is a book store run by the park's cooperating association. These non-profit organizations typically run the sales center and donate a portion of profits to the parks. They are important park partners and provide invaluable support for parks across the country.

At Nez Perce National Historical Park our partner is the Discover Your Northwest; at Big Hole National Battlefield, it is the Glacier Association. Both organizations provide thousands of dollars every year supporting publications, special events, and supplies. Help support our partners and become a member today!

Heart of the Monster, near Kamiah Idaho.

Did You Know?
In Nez Perce country, the landscape tells stories. The lump of basalt near Kamiah, Idaho represents the Heart of a Monster. Coyote battled and killed a monster and from the drops of the creature's blood the Nez Perce were created.
