Medals were produced for the bicentennials of the United States Mint and the United States Treasury Department. Bronze (mixed copper and zinc) replica Mint and Treasury medals are available for sale to the public through the United States Mint's online catalog. Other medals that relate to the Department itself can be grouped into the following three categories.
In this series, a medal is issued for each new Secretary. The series does not represent every individual who held the office, as it began around 1881.
