Historic Congressional Cemetery’s Arsenal and Macombe Monuments

Historic Congressional Cemetery's Arsenal and Macombe Monuments have been the focus of NCPTT's recent research into cleaning technologies for grave markers. NCPTT's Jason Church will travel to Washington D.C. the week of September 5 to implement a novel treatment of stone consolidation followed by intermittent water misting for cleaning. The research is being conducted in partnership with the NPS Historic Preservation Training Center and the National Cemetery Administration.
