Creating a Billboard: Once you register with college.gov, you will be able to create a "billboard" with a personal image and "I'm Going" statement.

Photo Size: If you upload a photo for your billboard, it must be no bigger than 2.5 megabytes (MB) and in one of the following file formats: JPG, GIF, PNG.

Photo Content: Before a photo and "I'm Going" statement can be used as your billboard, it must be reviewed by the U.S. Department of Education for approval. Billboard Approval Process: college.gov will notify you via e-mail when your billboard is approved. You will then have the option to add the billboard to the college.gov homepage and college.gov's fan page on Facebook, send a link to your personalized billboard to others, and/or post the billboard to your page on Facebook or other personal Web site. If your billboard violates college.gov's policy on user-generated content, you will be notified via e-mail that your billboard has been rejected, and you will have the opportunity to submit another billboard.

Display Your Billboard: You should note that if you choose the option of having your billboard displayed on the college.gov homepage and college.gov's fan page on Facebook, then the public would be able to see your billboard.

Reporting Billboards: You have the ability to report other users' billboards that are offensive or violate college.gov's policy on user-generated content, by emailing college@ed.gov. Reported billboards will be removed from college.gov's home page pending further investigation.
