Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA)

Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems are being used to address utilities such as natural gas, water, and electric power systems. Security measures must be taken to protect SCADA systems from cyber attacks. A retrofit cryptographic module is being developed to enhance communications protection between SCADA network components. The final suite of encryption algorithms, hardware and software is expected to become the standard for such utilities.
