Bureau of Human Resources
The Director General of the Foreign Service and Director of Human Resources oversees the Bureau of Human Resources (M/DGHR). Led by Director General Harry K. Thomas, Jr., the Bureau handles recruitment, assignment evaluation, promotion, discipline, career development, and retirement policies and programs for the Department's Foreign and Civil Service employees.
