	Joseph Klimavicz Chief Information Officer and Director, High Performance Computing and Communications, National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration Department of Commerce joseph.klimavicz [at] noaa.gov Mr. Joseph F. Klimavicz was named National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Director, High Performance Computing and Communications in January 2007. In this position, he is responsible for implementing the Clinger-Cohen Act, Federal Information Security Management Act, and other statutory requirements regarding the acquisition, management, and use of NOAA's information and information technology resources to include NOAA’s high performance computing and communications infrastructure. Mr. Klimavicz is also responsible for NOAA’s Homeland Security Program to ensure business continuity in the event of a terrorist attack, major disaster, or other emergency, and he serves as the Department of Commerce (DOC) Senior Agency Official for Geospatial Information (SAOGI). He previously served in the Department of Defense (DOD) as the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency Deputy CIO, and as the DOD SAOGI.
	Steven P. Wallach Technical Executive Department of Defense Steven.P.Wallach [at] NGA.mil In October 2005, Mr. Wallach assumed his current position at the National Geospatial Agency as Technical Executive, where he serves on the Agency’s Executive Committee and leads NGA’ transformation efforts, including advancing geospatial intelligence, horizontal integration with community partners, fully enabling web services for GEOINT access and collaboration, and moving towards Foundation-Based Operations for the community. Mr. Wallach began his career with the Defense Mapping Agency (DMA) Aerospace Center in 1978.A native of St. Louis County, Missouri; Mr. Wallach received a B.S. in Earth Science from Northwest Missouri State University. He completed a master’s degree in Computer Resources Management at Webster University, and is a graduate of the Armed Forces Staff College, the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, and the Senior Acquisition Course from the Defense Acquisition University. Mr. Wallach is married and has two children.
	James C. Dalton Chief, Engineering and Construction Team Leader, South Atlantic Division RIT United States Army Corps of Engineers Mr. James C. Dalton currently serves as Chief of the Engineering and Construction (E&C) Community of Practice and is responsible for policy, program, and technical expertise in the execution of over $10 billion of design and construction programs for the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, Department of Defense, other Federal agencies, and over sixty foreign nations. He provides leadership to a field organization consisting of 8 divisions, 41 districts, and approximately 15,000 personnel and guides the development of engineering and construction policy for the Corps world wide Civil Works, Military, and Environmental Missions. He also serves as the Corps South Atlantic Division Regional Integration Team (RIT) leader. Mr. Dalton earned his B.S. degree in Architectural Engineering in 1978 from N.C. A&T State University in Greensboro, N.C. He was selected for Long Term Training and attended N.C. State University where he earned his Masters Degree in Civil Engineering in 1992. Mr. Dalton is a registered professional engineer in Virginia. Mr. Dalton is married and has a daughter and son.

	Tom Pyke Chief Information Officer Department of Energy Tom.Pyke [at] hq.doe.gov Tom Pyke leads the Department of Energy's effective use of information technology and the management of the Department's information technology resources, with an annual budget of $2.1 billion. Before joining the Department of Energy, Tom was the Chief Information Officer of the Department of Commerce. At the Department of Commerce, Mr. Pyke was a senior manager of information technology for over 30 years. He earned a BSEE as a Westinghouse Scholar from the Carnegie Institute of Technology and an MSE in Computer Systems as a Ford Foundation Fellow from the University of Pennsylvania.
	John Teeter Deputy Chief Information Officer Department of Health and Human Services John Teeter is the Deputy Chief Information Officer and former Chief Enterprise Architect for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). In this role, he is responsible for all aspects of information resources management including several enterprise programs which include information technology strategic planning and performance management, information technology capital planning and investment control, enterprise security and the development, maintenance and use of the HHS enterprise architecture.

	Susan H. Swart Chief Information Officer Bureau of Information Resource Management Department of State swartsh [at] state.gov Susan H. Swart, a member of the Senior Foreign Service with the rank of Minister Counselor, was appointed as the Chief Information Officer for the Department of State in February 2008. As Chief Information Officer she is responsible for the Department’s information resources and technology initiatives and provides core information, knowledge management, and technology (IT) services to the Department of State. Ms. Swart is a graduate of the National War College. She received her undergraduate degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Dillingham, Ph.D., is the Director for the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS), a component of the Research and Innovative Technology Administration within the U.S. Department of Transportation. Dr. Dillingham has a background in government, business and teaching. His service at the Department of Justice includes directing the Bureau of Justice Statistics, and directing research and planning for the U.S. Trustee Program. He served as Chief Counsel for the Vice Chairman of the Merit Systems Protection Board, and held senior legal and management positions within OPM, Department of Energy, the National District Attorneys Association, and the American Prosecutors Research Institute. His experience includes senior management positions in the private sector and counsel to U.S. Senate and House committees. He holds graduate degrees in government, law and business.

	Mark Gorenflo Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy Department of Veterans Affairs Mark.gorenflo [at] va.gov Mark Gorenflo is the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy at the Department of Veterans Affairs. Born in Boston, Massachusetts into a Navy family, Mr. Gorenflo graduated from the US Naval Academy in 1983 and he studied Politics & Philosophy as a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford. He served more than 21 years as a submariner, including command of a nuclear attack submarine. Joining the Department of Defense in 2004 as a civilian, he served at U.S. Joint Forces Command, the Joint Staff and the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Policy before joining the Department of Veterans Affairs in April 2008.

	Diane L. Herdt Chief Information Officer Office of the PBS Chief Information Officer General Services Administration diane.herdt [at] gsa.gov In February 2007, Diane Herdt was appointed Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the U.S. General Services Administration’s (GSA’s) Public Buildings Service (PBS). She is responsible for the strategic acquisition of information and technology to improve the quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness of PBS’ service delivery to all of its customers. Ms. Herdt has over thirty years of experience with GSA. She holds a Master of Science in Information Systems from the American University in Washington, DC.

	Michael J. Kurtz Assistant Archivist for the Records Services National Archives and Records Administration mike.kurtz [at] nara.gov Michael J. Kurtz currently serves as the Assistant Archivist for the Office of Records Services - Washington, DC. He joined the National Archives and Records Administration in 1974, and has worked in various archival and staff positions in the Office of the Federal Records Centers, the Office of Management and Administration, and the Office of the National Archives. He is also an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland’s College of Information Services. He has developed and teaches a course in managing cultural institutions. Dr. Kurtz received his B.A. in history from Catholic University and his M.A., and Ph.D in European history from Georgetown University. Dr. Kurtz has had several publications in the areas of archival management, the American civil war, and World War II.

He has 28 years of experience in the mapping sciences since earning a B.S. degree in Surveying Engineering from the University of Maine. Prior to coming to TVA in 1990, he served as the Supervisor of Computing & Mapping for Alabama Power Company. He is a Certified Photogrammetrist (ASPRS), and a Registered Professional Land Surveyor (AL). Mr. Teal is a member of several professional societies including the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing - serving as a National Director from 1989 to 1992, the American Congress on Surveying and Mapping, the Urban & Regional Information Systems Association, and the Geospatial Information & Technology Association.
