Journalists from Bangladesh Betar, the country’s largest electronic media organization, attended a three-day workshop in Dhaka.
The program included sessions on the role of an independent media, covering news and feature stories effectively, using different styles in broadcasting and the role of research. Shafi Sami, Bangladesh’s former Foreign Secretary, conducted a mock press conference for the participants.
Iqbal Bahar Choudhury, chief of VOA’s Bangla Service, and Arnold Zeitlin, former Associated Press correspondent in Southeast Asia, conducted the training.
