Ground-Water Data

Long-term water-level records are needed to evaluate the effects of climatic variations on the recharge to and discharge from ground-water systems, to provide a data base from which to measure the effects of development, to assist in the prediction of future supplies, and to provide data for management of the resource.
This site contains historical water-level data for 41 wells with dates ranging from 1948 to 2002.
* Real-Time Ground-Water-Level Data—Michigan
This site contains regularly updated ground-water levels for three wells.
* Ground-Water Site Inventory—Michigan
The ground-water site inventory consists of more than 6400 records of wells, springs, test holes, tunnels, drains, and excavations in the Michigan.
* Climate Response Network—Michigan
The USGS maintains a network of wells to monitor the effects of droughts and other climate variability on ground-water levels. There are four Michigan wells monitored as part of the Ground Water Resources Program.
* National Ground-Water Data Retrieval
The ground-water site inventory consists of more than 850,000 records of wells, springs, test holes, tunnels, drains, and excavations in the United States.
* National Ground Water Climate Response Network
The USGS maintains a network of wells to monitor the effects of droughts and other climate variability on ground-water levels. The network consists of a national network of about 150 wells monitored as part of the Ground Water Resources Program, supplemented by wells in some States monitored as part of the Cooperative Water Program.
