Introducing 2008-09 The Andrew W. Mellon Career Enhancement Program Fellows
Carmelita Lamb and Michael D. Tosee are the new 2008-09 fellows under The Andrew W. Mellon Career Enhancement Program. Fellows receive a $30,000 sabbatical fellowship with additional funding for research-related travel, with the purpose of increasing the intellectual capital among faculty at the 32 accredited tribal colleges and universities. In existence since 2004, the program has funded 15 Ph.D. candidates to date. »More

Denver, ColoradoCoca Cola, Inc. and the American Indian College Fund honored 46 American Indian scholarship recipients at its 2008-09 Coca-Cola First Generation Scholarship banquet at the American Indian Higher Education Consortium Student Conference in Missoula, Montana on March 29.

Scholarship Application Deadline May 31, 2009

The American Indian College Fund is now accepting applications for special scholarships to American Indian students attending tribal colleges and universities, mainstream universities and graduate programs for the 2009-2010 academic year. Ben Plucknett Charitable Trust Gives More Than $10,000 to American Indian College Fund's Sovereign Nations Scholarship Fund Endowment 
Denver, ColoradoThe American Indian College Fund received a gift of more than $10,000 from the Boise, Idaho-based Ben Plucknett Charitable Trust.

Jan DeRoin, Mr. Plucknett's sister and one of the trustees of the trust, says the trust was established by her mother in her will in honor of her son, who predeceased her by one year. »More
