This is the Mambo Lapel Pin
The Postal Service™ issued 37–cent, Let’s Dance/Bailemos commemorative stamps in four designs, on September 17, 2005, in Miami, Florida, and New York, New York. With the issuance of these stamps, the U.S. Postal Service® honors the contributions of Latino art to American culture featuring images that showcase one of four popular dances on each stamp. The stamps were designed by Ethel Kessler of Bethesda, Maryland, based on the personal interpretations of the dances made by four Latino artists.
The Mambo stamp was created by Sergio Baradat who, as a young child, left Cuba with his parents and immigrated to the United States. Known for its up–tempo beat, fast footwork and sensuous body language, Mambo laid the groundwork for its offshoots: Cha–cha–chá and Salsa.
