During this period of unprecedented distress in world financial markets, please be advised that the Virginia College Savings Plan is closely monitoring events as they develop and the assets under management in the VPEP program and VEST portfolios. We have and will continue to maintain close contact with our investment consultant, investment managers, and custodian bank throughout this difficult period. We have not departed from the investment strategies established for the various VCSP portfolios, as to do so during a period of such extreme volatility would likely increase the risk of a permanent loss of value.
