Goods and Services Deficit Decreases in February 2009

The Nation’s international deficit in goods and services decreased to $26.0 billion in February from $36.2 billion (revised) in January, as exports increased and imports decreased.

A Profile of U.S. Exporting Companies, 2006-2007

The U.S. Census Bureau, Department of Commerce, releases the report, A Profile of U.S. Exporting Companies, 2006 - 2007. This report provides information on identified companies and their known export value.

Aircraft Industry Trade Data Changes

The U.S. Census Bureau will revise goods export data from January 2004 through December 2008 as a result of analysis of the aircraft industry. In addition, the Census Bureau will begin suppressing export data for certain 10-digit Schedule B commodity classifications related to the aircraft industry with the release of the January 2009 merchandise trade report on March 13, 2009. 2007 Annual Revisions

In this release and the accompanying "U.S. International Trade in Goods and Services: April 2008," the U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) are jointly publishing revised data on U.S. trade in goods for 2005-2007 and the first three months of 2008 and revised data on services for 2004-2007 and the first three months of 2008.
