OIA Intern Recruitment
The Office of International Affairs (OIA) in the National
Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA)
is seeking volunteer (unpaid) graduate-level and undergraduate-level
interns for ongoing projects. NTIA is part of the U.S. Department
of Commerce and is the Executive Branch's principal voice
on domestic and international telecommunications and information
technology policy issues.
As a part of NTIA, OIA formulates, articulates and implements
policies to enhance competition in the global telecommunications
sector. These policies are designed in consultation with
U.S. commercial interests. OIA presents these policies before
foreign ministerial officials in multilateral entities (CITEL,
APEC), in bilateral discussions, in intergovernmental organizations
(INTELSAT, ITU) and in special initiatives. More information
on the agency's international activities can be found on
the OIA
Homepage.
Requirements/Prerequisites: We seek student
interns with backgrounds in telecommunications policy, drawn
from political science, public policy, economics, law, or
