The community information, provided in both English and Spanish, is intended to help concerned populations self-identify whether they may have been exposed to asbestos, answer questions regarding asbestos, provide the toll-free number for concerned population to call for additional information, and to present steps concerned individuals can take to protect their health.

Posters

The poster alerts workers of their possible exposure to asbestos and to self-identify by answering the three questions and to call the toll-free number for additional information.


Pamphlets

The pamphlet gives a brief overview of what asbestos is, how it can affect one’s family and how asbestos exposure can affects one’s health. It can be displayed in health clinics, community centers, work sites and other public areas where workers may frequent.


Palm Card


The palm card provides a list of questions that will help workers self identify and take action by calling a toll-free number which is confidential, in Spanish and free of charge. It can be used in conducting outreach activities (e.g., at soccer events, or health fairs).
