A Pakistani national on trial in India for last year's Mumbai terrorist attack has pleaded not guilty to all charges against him.

Mohammed Ajmal Kasab is believed to be the only surviving militant involved in the assault that killed 166 people.

Kasab faces charges including murder and "waging war" against India. His trial is being held in a special bomb-proof courtroom in Mumbai. He could face the death penalty if convicted.

Two Indian men, Sabauddin Ahmed and Fahim Ansari, accused of providing support to the militants also are being tried.

The two are top members of Jamaat-ud-Dawa, which India says is a front for the Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba.

India has accused Lashkar-e-Taiba of carrying out the 60-hour siege in Mumbai last November.

India also has suggested Pakistani government agents were involved in the attack. Pakistan denies the allegation, which has heightened tensions between the neighbors.
