The following photos are from the Stay Out-Stay Alive event at the Arizona State Mine Inspector’s Office in Phoenix. Since 1999, at least 10 people have died in such accidents in Arizona. Arizona Governor Jan Brewer joined MSHA’s Dave Brown and Richard Laufenberg, State Mine Inspector Joe Hart, and members of the State delegation for a discussion on educating the public – especially children— about hazards at mine sites.
