During the past month, new information and activities have been added to the United States Mint H.I.P. Pocket Change™ Web site.  To help you learn "What's New for You," we've listed and linked these features below.

February Coin of the Month—Join Inspector Collector as he presents the first of the new cent designs for 2009, the 200th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth.  There will be four designs this year, and this one starts at the appropriate place:  the beginning!

2009 Cents Lesson Plans—These free lesson plans have been created to help you make the most of the 2009 Lincoln Bicentennial One Cent Program.  There are lesson plans for grades K and 1, 2 and 3, and 4 through 6.  Each plan refers to all four designs in the program.

Presidents' Day Page—How did it come to be that we will celebrate Presidents' Day on February 16th this year?  Have your students read about this special day's history and find related links on this dedicated page.

Presidential $1 Coin Program Lesson Plans—These free lessons have been created to help you make the most of the new Presidential $1 coins.  They are geared to grade levels K and 1, 2 and 3, 4 through 6, 7 and 8, 9 and 10, and 11 and 12.
