Acting Assistant Secretary of Commerce Michael D. Gallagher "pleased that FCC is moving forward on broadband over power lines"
"Broadband over power lines holds promise to be the "Third Wire" into American homes - a competitive, facilities-based, cost-effective new way to deliver high-speed Internet services to American citizens. We are pleased that the FCC is moving forward on broadband over power lines. The Commission's proposed rules, as informed by the NTIA interference analysis, will provide policy makers with the rigorous technical data and measurements that will be necessary to accurately and fairly judge the prospects of this exciting, innovative new use of existing infrastructure."
