MEREDITH ATTWELL JOINS NTIA AS
SENIOR ADVISOR Meredith M. Attwell, formerly vice president at the firm of Williams Mullen Strategies, has joined NTIA as Senior Advisor to Acting Assistant Secretary of Commerce Michael D. Gallagher. “Meredith has the Executive Branch background, the trade association experience and the legal expertise to be an extremely valuable advisor on the policy challenges facing NTIA,” said Acting Assistant Secretary Gallagher. Before joining Williams Mullen Strategies, Ms. Attwell was Senior Counsel to Covad Communications from June 2000 to April 2002. She was Director of Congressional Affairs at the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA) from January 1998 to June 2000. Ms. Attwell earned a law degree from the University of Houston in 1994, and clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals Fifth Circuit in Houston. From 1990 to 1992, she worked in the Legislative Affairs Office of the U.S. State Department in Washington. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington & Lee University in 1990. # # #
