Operating Hours & Seasons

The Visitor Center is open to the public throughout the year. The Southeast Alaska Indian Cultural Center, totem poles, and museum exhibits are located in the building.
 
Visitor Center
  • mid-May through September:  Daily, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  • October through mid-May:  Monday-Saturday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.  Closed on Federal holidays during the winter months.

Russian Bishop's House

  • mid-May through September:  Daily, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.  Ranger-led tours are offered every 30 minutes.
  • October through mid-May:  Open by appointment only.  Please call (907) 747-0110 to schedule a ranger-led tour.

Park Trails

  • mid-May through September:  Daily, 6:00 am to 10:00 pm.
  • October through mid-May:  Daily, 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Did You Know?
Brown and grizzly bears are classified as the same species. Brown bears found inland and in northern habitats are often called “grizzlies” while “brown bear” is used to refer to animals found in coastal areas.
