Sandia Creek Drive Crossing
This overflow bridge is designed to allow a flooding river to pass over it.
Such bridges are common for flashy rivers on rural roads. This bridge begins to overflow
when the river stage reaches roughly 4.75 ft. At such times, the road may become
impassable. In addition to research benefits, this webcam provides for remote monitoring of dangerous road conditions.
