The Alaska Sea Grant Marine Advisory Program is offering marine refrigeration workshops for commercial fishermen.
About 800 juvenile blue king crabs hatched in Seward will be studied by scientists in Juneau, to understand growth and molting and to develop methods to tag them. The long-term goal of the research is to rehabilitate some king crab fisheries in Alaska. Look for monthly AKCRRAB updates in the News Flash newsletter.
