Rebecca J. Howard, Ph.D. 1995. Louisiana State University. Plant stress tolerance, plant community dynamics, disturbance effects on plant communities.

Rebecca Howard airboat pictureHoward's major areas of interest focus on biotic and abiotic factors affecting plant community change, both spatial and temporal. Also, she researches linkages between the plant and animal components of wetland ecosystems and how disruptions can influence diversity and integrity of the systems.
