Choose The Appropriate Raw Data Retrieval Method:

Online Retrieval System     This system allows you to retrieve small to moderate amounts of data for particular species, time periods, and specific geographic areas, such as a single route or the entire United States, with many options in between. If you wish to retrieve large portions of the BBS data set, then you will want to use the FTP site instead.

FTP Site     The entire BBS data set, from 1966 to present, is available on the FTP site as a series of manageable files separated into species groups and regions. Once at the site, open the "README" file and read through the document thoroughly to assess both how the data have been cataloged and how to identify the files that match your needs.
