Detailed Forecast Discussion |
Moist and unstable conditions continue to dominate the meso-synoptic picture for north GA for at least another 36-48 hrs, if not longer. Models continue to advertise several upstream impulses caught in W to WNW flow aloft with no real change in the long-wave pattern. Depending on frontal position, which continues to kink in lower Tenn valley due to waves moving along it, could be a brief period of severe weather metro and north tomorrow afternoon as low-level jet and strong short wave rotate along base of an upper-level trough. Also additional outflow boundaries pushed in from mcv could help provide trigger for early afternoon convection tomorrow. With ample vertical mixing and good swath of moisture advection continuing from GOMEX, O3 and PM2.5 will have no trouble staying in good range around Metro for Weds. BBM\n |
