Women’s History Month was celebrated at the National Wetlands Research Center with a gallery of art by area women artists. The theme was “Women Taking the Lead to Save our Planet: Art Goes Green.” Artworks ranged from the traditional to pieces made with recycled and sustainable materials, with seventy-one artists participating. An opening reception was held on Monday, March 16, which was well attended by artists, their families and the general public.
