"Get Outdoors, It's Yours!" is a national campaign focused on getting America's youth outside and engaging with Nature. The goal of this initiative is to encourage children and their families to spend more time outdoors.

Activities Built by Kids, for Kids at Joshua Tree National Park, California

Fourth grade students at Twentynine Palms Elementary have studied National Parks, Joshua Tree National Park, and their local deserts and have become Junior Rangers. Now they would like to share what they learned from in-class activities conducted by park rangers and from field trips to Joshua Tree National Park.

There are six activities, ranging from Rangers, to Native Americans. you can also learn about animal adaptations, miners and desert survival.

Learn About the Civil War at Petersburg National Battlefield, Virginia

So you want to learn about the Civil War? Can you imagine spending almost ten months of the Civil War fighting in one area? Why were the soldiers here for so long? How did they pass their days? What was it like living in the trenches around Petersburg?

Through Soldier Life and Pictionary examine the lives, the uniforms and the equipment  of Civil War soldiers who traveled on foot, fought on horseback, or fired a cannon.
