The National Center for Preservation Technology and Training (NCPTT) will continue its highly successful training on the conservation of monuments commonly found in cemeteries with a new workshop focused on the conservation challenges of the New England region. The workshop will be held Oct. 7-9 in New London, Conn.

The purpose of this survey was to collect data about the use of Internet-based technologies for communication among preservation professionals.

NCPTT’s materials research program hosted representatives from Hybrid Plastics. The company specializes in new resin and plastics based on a new chemical technology called POSS.

The Association for Preservation Technology International has announced its first off-shore conference, entitled Old World Technologies: Adapting in the New World.

Eight awards will be made through 2007 PTTGrants program in the amount of $254,600.
