This workshop, organized by the Computer
Science and Telecommunications Board (CSTB) of
the National Academies and sponsored by the National
Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA)
of the U.S. Department of Commerce,
explored incentives for more efficient use of radiofrequency
spectrum by the private sector and government spectrum
users. The workshop brought together government,
industry, and academia to examine advantages and disadvantages
of particular incentive mechanisms and best practices
for both the private sector and government agencies.
