Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Vern Clark announced the following flag officer assignments:
Navy Rear Adm. Mark P. Fitzgerald is being assigned as deputy director, Air Warfare Division, N78B, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations. Fitzgerald is currently serving as special assistant to the commander in chief, U.S. Atlantic Fleet.
Navy Rear Adm. John G. Morgan Jr. is being assigned as senior military assistant to the secretary of the Navy. Morgan is currently assigned as commander, Cruiser Destroyer Group Twelve/commander, Naval Surface Group Two.
