Visibility Monitoring Locations
Visibility is monitored at 50 units of the National Park System. Each of the units shown in the map and table below have a particle monitor. (Denali and Grand Canyon National Parks each deploy two particle monitors.) Nephelometers are used in 9 parks while transmissometers are used in 19. The graphic below illustrates the different visibility monitoring located in the national parks. The map information in table format can be found in the table below the graphic.
