The Joint Family Support Assistance Program (JFSAP) provides extensive support to military members and their families throughout the tough times of military life, including deployment, mobilization, reintegration and the resulting issues that affect members and their families. JFSAP serves members and families from all military components and provides a range of direct and indirect services, specifically targeted to persons who are geographically separated from a military installation.
JFSAP direct services include: information & referral, counseling, child & youth services, family support, and financial education. Indirect services include: consulting with and providing briefings and trainings for commands, child and youth and family programs staff, volunteers, and community agencies; coordinate with and augment activities of existing military and civilian programs and services.
