DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

MAPCO Alaska Petroleum Inc., Tulsa, Ok., is being awarded a $20,273,159 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for JP-4, jet fuel; and JP-8, jet fuel. One hundred eighty-six proposals were solicited and 34 were received. Work will be performed in Anchorage, Alaska; North Pole, Alaska; and Memphis, Tenn., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. Tesoro Hawaii Corporation, Honolulu, Hawaii, is being awarded a $44,066,972 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for F-76, naval distillate; and JP-8, jet fuel. Navajo Refining Company*, Artesia, N.M., is being awarded a $53,283,143 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for JP-8, jet fuel. ARCO Products Company, Los Angeles, Calif., is being awarded a $62,443,103 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for JP-8, aviation turbine fuel; and JP-5, aviation turbine fuel. Two hundred nine proposals were solicited and 36 were received. Work will be performed in Ferndale, Wash., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 30, 1999. Koch Refining Company, Wichita, Kan., is being awarded a $29,156,428 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for JP-8, jet fuel. Chevron Products Company, Walnut Creek, Calif., is being awarded a $14,287,560 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for JP-8, aviation turbine fuel. Two hundred nine proposals were solicited and 36 were received. Work will be performed in El Paso, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Oct. 30, 1999. AIR FORCE

High Speed Connectivity Consortium, Inc., Pittsburgh, Penn., is being awarded a $11,000,000 ($5,000,000, Government Portion; $6,000,000, Contractor Portion) cooperative-agreement contract to provide for research and development in support of the Next Generation Internet Program. This effort includes development and demonstration of a multi-gigabit testbed using end-to-end fiber connections with potential expansion to a national network. Expected contract completion date is Sept. 21, 2001. Solicitation issue date was Oct. 10, 1997. Negotiation completion date was Sept. 15, 1998. Air Force Research Laboratory, Rome NY, is the contracting activity (F30602-98-2-0193).

  • Lockheed Martin Corp., Marietta, Ga., is being awarded a $46,900,000 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for modification of six Air Force Reserve
  • C-130J aircraft to perform weather reconnaissance missions. This effort includes associated data and spares. Expected contract completion date is Sept. 30, 1999. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-95-C-2055-P00014).

Raytheon Systems Company, Los Angeles, Calif., is being awarded a $11,837,135 ($8,420,000, Government Portion; $3,417,135, Contractor Portion) cooperative-agreement contract to provide for the Advanced Technology Modular Receiver Program. This program will develop and demonstrate a four channel high-performance multimode radar receiver system for use on various aircraft and space platforms. This was a Broad Agency Announcement, there were 120 proposals received. Expected contract completion date is Jan. 16, 2002. Solicitation issue date was July 22, 1997. Negotiation completion date was Aug. 5, 1998. Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33615-98-2-1330).

GTE Government Systems Corp., El Segundo, Calif., is being awarded a $217,058,934 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for FY 1999 contractor logistics support for the AN/GYQ-21(V) Intelligence Data Handling System. Expected contract completion date is Sept. 30, 2001. Solicitation issue date was July 17, 1990. Negotiation completion date was Aug. 14, 1991. Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins AFB, Ga., is the contracting activity (F09603-91-D-0999-P00017).

NAVY

Structural Associates, Inc., East Syracuse, N.Y., is being awarded a $12,743,876 firm-fixed-priced contract for construction of three new buildings - a Marine Corps reserve training center, a vehicle maintenance building, and a maintenance hanger and ramp adjacent to the existing Army Training Facility and hangar in Johnstown, Pa. This training center and maintenance facility will provide a permanent facility for reserve training and relocate Helicopter Squadron MAG-49, 4th MAW, HMCA773 DET A from Willow Grove, Pa. to Johnstown, Pa. Work will be performed in Johnstown, Pa., and is expected to be completed by September 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with ten proposals solicited and three offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Northern Division, Lester, Pa., is the contracting activity (N62472-97-C-0434).

Tracor Systems Technology, Inc., Rockville, Md., is being awarded a $7,030,092 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-96-C-5168 to exercise an option for 174,458 man-hours to provide engineering and technical support to the AEGIS TECHREP System Engineering Division in support of computer program integration and validation for AEGIS Combat System Baseline Programs for AEGIS ships within the ship conversion Navy envelope. Work will be performed in Marlton, N.J., and is expected to be completed by September 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

Technology, Management and Analysis Corp., McLean, Va., is being awarded a $6,069,752 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-96-C-6409 for technical, engineering and logistical services in support of the AEGIS Shipbuilding Program's Fleet Introduction and Lifetime Support Division (PMS 400F). Work will be performed in Arlington, Va. (50%), Pascagoula, Miss. (25%), and Bath, Maine (25%), and is expected to be completed by September 1999. Contract funds in the amount of $335,888 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

Riley Construction Co., Waukegan, Ill., is being awarded a $6,026,200 firm-fixed-priced contract for partial renovation and alterations to an existing three-story clinic, Building 1017, into an all dental clinic at Recruit Training Center, Great Lakes, Ill. Work will be performed in Great Lakes, Ill., and is expected to be completed by September 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Tracor Systems Technology, Inc., California, Md., is being awarded a $5,334,829 modification to previously awarded contract N00421-97-C-1491 to exercise an option for the design, integration, test, evaluation, installation, certification, maintenance, and logistics support of air traffic control and landing systems. Work will be performed in St. Inigoes, Md., and is expected to be completed by September 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Div., St. Inigoes, Md., is the contracting activity.

ARMY

Butt Construction Co.*, Cincinnati, Ohio, is being awarded a $8,110,000 (base year total) as part of an $8,284,000 (total if all options are exercised) firm-fixed-price contract to design/build a Child Development Center Complex. The facility will include full kitchen and laundry services for 464 children; a shingle roof, brick exterior, suspended ceilings, carpet, tile, vinyl, closed-circuit TV, sprinkler system, kitchen equipment and playground equipment; (heating and electrical systems have not been designed); playground fencing, parent and staff parking lots with exterior lighting; and new water and sanitary distribution lines required. Work will be performed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by May 1, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 95 bids solicited on July 8, 1998, and five bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville, Ky. (DACA27-98-C-0061).

Trawick Contractors Inc.*, Birmingham, Ala., is being awarded a $13,131,704 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of whole neighborhood revitalization. The project consists of remodeling 30 quadruplex buildings (120 family housing living units) built in 1934. The restoration of the buildings has the approval of the Georgia State Historical Preservation Office and will be constructed accordingly to meet new construction standards. Work will be performed at Fort Benning, Ga., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 30, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 86 bids solicited on June 24, 1998, and seven bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah, Ga. (DACA21-98-C-0069).

John Bowman Inc.*, Colorado Springs, Colo., is being awarded a $9,054,541 firm-fixed-price contract for Items #1 and #2, all work complete (basic), to upgrade the academic facility, Phase II. Work will be performed at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo., and is expected to be completed by June 14, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 88 bids solicited on Oct. 1, 1997, and four bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha, Neb. (DACA45-98-C-0065).

Citywide Office Management Services*, Port Washington, N.Y., is being awarded a firm-fixed-price, services and construction contract (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order), with a base year total of $6,695,873, and a cumulative total of $33,864,137 if all options are exercised, for base operations and maintenance. Work will be performed at Fort Hamilton, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 30, 2004. There were 36 bids solicited on March 5, 1998, and three bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York, N.Y. (DACA51-98-C-0053).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Patti Shipyard Inc.*, Pensacola, Fla., is being awarded a $8,700,000 firm-fixed-price contract to design/construct, test and deliver a quarter/galley barge. Work will be performed in Pensacola, Fla., and is expected to be completed by March 31, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 21 bids solicited on July 24, 1998, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia, Pa. (DACW61-98-C-0025).

C O R R E C T I O N

Contract No. DAMT01-98-D-9612, for TransAtlantic Lines LLC, announced Sept. 16, 1998, should be corrected to read as follows: Signed Sept. 18, 1998, and cumulative total $5,630,367.
