UNITED STATES SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND

ITT Avionics, 100 Kingsland Road, Clifton, N.J., is being awarded a $17,811,880 contract for upgrading the electronic countermeasures of the U. S. Special Operations Command's (USSOCOM) C-130 fleet to the AN/ALQ-172(V)1 (ECP-93) version. Procurement options permit increase to the amount of approximately $44,660,997. This upgrade provides expanded system ECM and OFP memory capacity, additional PR channels and flightline reprogrammability. The location of work performance is at ITT Clifton facilities in New Jersey. The U.S. Special Operations Command, Tampa, Fla. is the contracting activity (USZA22-98-C-0004).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

General Electric, Milwaukee, Wis., is being awarded an estimated maximum $50,000,000 indefinite-quantity contract for x-ray systems, subsystems or components. Nineteen proposals were solicited and nineteen were received. Work will be performed in New Berlin, Wis.; Tokyo, Japan; and Waukesha, Wis., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 11, 1999. ARMY

Raytheon Co., Electronic Systems, Bedford, Mass., is being awarded a $6,927,734 modification to a cost-plus-award-fee contract for an FY98 PATRIOT engineering services option for Japan, Taiwan, and the NATO Maintenance and Supply Agency (NAMSA). Work will be performed in Burlington, Mass. (5%); Huntsville, Ala. (15%); Andover, Mass. (25%); Tewksbury, Mass. (10%); El Paso, Texas (13%); Japan (30%); Taiwan (1%); and NAMSA (1%), and is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 1999. Of the total contract funds, $46,551 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on July 7, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-95-C-0043).

Allied Signal Inc., Phoenix, Ariz., is being awarded an $8,750,000 modification to a $72,513,273 firm-fixed-price contract for 70 engine conversions T55-L-712 to the T55-GA-714A configuration. Work will be performed in Greer, S.C., and is expected to be completed by March 30, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Dec. 30, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH23-98-C-0028).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Archer Western Contractors Ltd., Virginia Beach, Va., is being awarded $100,000 as part of an $11,826,000 firm-fixed-price contract for an erosion control and hurricane protection project at the 42nd St. Pump Station. Work will be performed in Virginia Beach, Va., and is expected to be completed by March 15, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 86 bids solicited on July 13, 1998, and nine bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk, Va. (DACW65-98-C-0061).

AIR FORCE

MAI Systems Corp., Irvine, Calif., is being awarded a $6,641,600 indefinite-delivery-requirements-type-contract to provide for the Reservation Property Management System, the Corporate Headquarters System, and the Reservation Module System commercial-off-the-shelf software packages. These systems will be used at 250 Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps lodging facilities worldwide. There were 59 firms solicited and 8 proposals received. Solicitation issue date was Sept. 24, 1997. Negotiation completion date was Aug. 11, 1998. The 12th Contracting Squadron, Randolph AFB, Texas, is the contracting activity (F41691-98-D0013).

United Technologies Corp., West Palm Beach, Fla., is being awarded a $15,291,459 face value increase to a fixed-price-contract to provide for three space F117-PW-100 engines applicable to the C-17 aircraft. Expected contract completion date is April 30, 2004. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-94-C-2155).

Lockheed Martin Tactical Defense Systems, Manassas, Va., is being awarded a $7,267,821 face value increase to a cost-plus-award-fee-contract to provide for development of software for four new external interfaces and upgrade of five existing external interfaces in support of the Department of Defense Global Transportation Network (GTN). These interfaces permit the exchange of data between the GTN and other information systems. Expected contract completion date is Dec. 31, 1999. Negotiation completion date was Oct. 15, 1997. Microwave Instrumentation Technologies Limited liability Company, Duluth, Ga., is being awarded a $6,377,902 firm-fixed-price-contract to provide for a modernized indoor electrical test range for the nose radome on the F-15 aircraft. There were six firms solicited and two proposals received. Expected contract completion date is March 1, 2000. Solicitation issue date was March 31, 1998. Negotiation completion date was Aug. 27, 1998. Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins AFB, Ga., is the contracting activity (F09650-98-C-0156).

Montgomery Watson Americas, Inc., Salt Lake City, Utah; Environmental Chemical Corp., Burlingame, Calif.; Chung and Associates, Salt Lake City, Utah; and URS Greitner, Inc., Midvale, Utah, are being awarded a $24,200,000 (Estimated Program Value) indefinite-delivery-indefinite-quantity-contract to participate in a program to perform environmental remediation activities at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. Solicitation issue date was March 16, 1998. NAVY

Norfolk Shipbuilding and Drydock Corp., Norfolk, Va., is being awarded a $25,052,949 cost-plus-award-fee contract for the repair, overhaul, and upgrade of the Navy ammunition ship USNS Shasta (T-AE-33). This contract contains options which, if exercised, could bring the cumulative value of this contract to around $28,000,000. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va., and is expected to be completed in August 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 38 proposals solicited and four offers received. The U.S. Navy's Military Sealift Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00033-98-C-4000).
