ARMY

Hardaway Construction Corp. of Tennessee, Henderson, Ky., is being awarded a $9,408,000 firm-fixed-price contract for Phase II of the Vehicle Maintenance Shop. Work will be performed at Ft. Campbell, Ky., and is expected to be completed by July 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 199 bids solicited on July 22, 1998, and nine bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville, Ky. (DACA27-98-C-0057).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

OEC Medical Systems Inc., Salt Lake City, Utah, is being awarded an estimated maximum $50,000,000 indefinite-quantity contract for x-ray systems, subsystems or components. Nineteen proposals were solicited and nineteen were received. Work will be performed in Warsaw, Ind.; and Salt Lake City, Utah, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 7, 1999. Picker International Inc., Cleveland, Ohio, is being awarded an estimated maximum $50,000,000 indefinite-quantity contract for x-ray systems, subsystems or components. Nineteen proposals were solicited and nineteen were received. Work will be performed in Solon, Ohio; and Valleyview, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 9, 1999. AIR FORCE

Northrop Grumman Corp., Melbourne, Fla., is being awarded a $5,860,000 face value increase to a fixed-price-incentive contract to provide for engineering drawings and production and installation of Group A Hardware in support of the computer Replacement Program for one E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS) aircraft. The work will be completed August 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-97/C-0001, P00008).

Sterling Software, Bellevue, Neb. is being awarded a $25,000,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide for engineering and technical support through September 2001 for the Information Handling Branch and Global Information Base Branch, Information and Intelligence Exploitation Division, Information Directorate, Air Force Research Laboratory, Rome, N.Y. This effort will include analytical and system feasibility studies, system design and engineering, software specification and development, simulation, test, analysis, advanced system and hardware development, rapid prototyping and system analyses. The work will be completed July 2001. There were 19 firms solicited and one proposal received. Solicitation began February 1998; negotiations were completed March 1998. At this time, $299,757 of the contract funds have been obligated. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Air Force Research Laboratory, Rome, N.Y. is the contracting activity (F30602-98/D-0318).

NAVY

Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP, Fairfax, Va., is being awarded a $7,532,559 fixed-price task order for fleet business process re-engineering services to enhance efficiency and to restructure processes within the Commander-in-Chief, U.S. Pacific Fleet headquarters staff and its fleet. Work will be performed in Oahu, Hawaii (50%), and San Diego, Calif. (50%), and is expected to be completed by September 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Regional Contracting Department, Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, is the contracting activity (N00604-98-F-9012).
