SECRETARY EVANS TO PAY HALLOWEEN VISIT TO COLUMBUS, OHIO, COSTUME DESIGNER
Commerce Dept. to Release Major Economic Data on Thursday

U.S. Secretary of Commerce Don Evans will discuss the state of the American economy during a visit to Costume Specialists in Columbus, Ohio, on October 31, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. Costume Specialists is a full-service costume company that manufacturers walk-about costume characters for plays, events and for private uses.

Secretary Evans will also present the company with an Export Achievement Award for their success in exporting their costumes around the world.

Earlier Thursday, the Commerce Department will release Gross Domestic Product growth statistics for the third quarter.
