Community Facilities Programs
The Community Facilities Program is used to construct, enlarge, extend or otherwise improve
community facilities; providing essential services in rural areas and towns with a population of
20,000 or less.

Rural Housing Programs
Rural Development makes loans and grants to provide rural residents with decent, safe and
sanitary homes.  Eligibility is based upon adjusted household income, with loans available to
low and very low income applicants.  Rural Development also guarantees loans, made by
mortgage lenders to low and moderate income households.  Income levels are set in each
county based upon a percentage of median income.
