 A "Welcome Message" from the State Director...

As a resident of rural America, born and raised in a small Kentucky community, I know the many challenges facing rural Kentucky. With this in mind, I welcome you to the web page for USDA Rural Development in Kentucky. 

This site will give you a better understanding of our role as a community leader in rural areas. You will find office locations, service areas, personnel updates, and program information. 

Our mission is to work in partnership with community and civic leaders, as well as non-profit, public and private sector organizations, to enhance their ability to develop and sustain rural communities throughout Kentucky. USDA Rural Development programs can assist with a wide range of rural community needs, including affordable housing, business and industry loans, water and wastewater projects, and community facility needs. 

Rural Development is dedicated to a leadership role in providing the financial partnerships that will bring back the opportunities for families to live and prosper in the rural communities.
