§ 75.325 (f) and (g) Air quantity.

Revised Ventilating Air Quantities for Certain Permissible Diesel Engines

As of August 6, 1997, Program Information Bulletin (PIB) 97-20 was issued. This bulletin's subject matter is "Gaseous Dilution Air Quantity and Particulate Index for the Caterpillar 3306 PCNA Diesel Engine".

As of November 5, 1997, Program Information Bulletin (PIB) 97-29 was issued. This bulletin's subject matter is "Gaseous Dilution Air Quantity and Particulate Index for the Isuzu QD100-36 Diesel Engine".

Program Handbook PH92-V-6

MSHA's Program Handbook PH92-V-6 sets forth guidelines and instructions for evaluating and processing mineventilation plans. Chapter 8 of this handbook, entitled "Guidance for Ventilation Plan Approval in Mines Where Diesel-powered Equipment is Operated" provides some good guidelines relative to 30 CFR Section 75.325 (f) and (g).
