§ 75.1901(c) Only diesel fuel additives that have been registered by the Environmental Protection Agency may be used in diesel-powered equipment underground.

List of EPA Registered Additives

One of the provisions added in the new regulations dealt with diesel fuel additives. Section 75.1901(c), which took effect on April 25, 1997, requires that only EPA registered diesel fuel additives be used in diesel-powered equipment in underground coal mines. A list of these additives is available to the mining community to assist mine operators in complying with the new requirement.
