Audit Section

OIG conducts its audits and audit-related work in accordance with Government Auditing Standards issued by the Comptroller General of the United States. In addition, OIG's audit section complies with quality standards established by the President's Council on Integrity and Efficiency.

A copy of the OIG's most recent peer review report may be accessed on the "Peer Review Report" link to the right. The Inspector General Act of 1978 authorizes OIG auditors to have full and complete access to any records, reports or other materials necessary to conduct an audit of the Corporation for National and Community Service's programs and operations.

This plenary authority also applies to contracts that the Corporation for National and Community Service awards to commercial businesses and firms and to grants of federal funds to federal, state and local governmental and private organizations.
