Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that
the President has nominated Maj. Gen. Normand G. Lezy, United
States Air Force, for appointment to the grade of lieutenant
general with assignment as deputy assistant secretary of defense
for Military Personnel Policy, assistant secretary of defense
(Force Management Policy), Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
Lezy is
currently assigned as assistant for personnel planning, deputy
chief of staff, Personnel, Headquarters United States Air Force,
Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
Lezy was born March 26, 1942, in Woonsocket, R. I.
