Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that
the President has nominated Rear Admiral William J. Hancock, U.S.
Navy, for appointment to the grade of vice admiral and assignment
as Deputy Chief of Naval Operations, Logistics, N4, Office of the
Chief of Naval Operations in the Pentagon.
Rear Admiral Hancock
is currently serving as Director, Office of Budget and Fiscal
Management Division, N82, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations
in the Pentagon.
Rear Admiral Hancock was born October 23, 1942 in Davenport,
Iowa.
