Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Gary Roughead announced the following flag officer assignment:

 

Rear Adm. Mark H. Buzby is being assigned as deputy chief of staff for Global Force Management and Joint Force Operations, N3/N5, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk, Va. Buzby is currently serving as commander, Joint Task Force Guantanamo, U.S. Southern Command, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

 

Rear Adm. Michael K. Mahon is being assigned as deputy director, Surface Warfare Division, N86B, OPNAV, Washington, D.C. Mahon is currently serving as commander, Standing NATO Maritime Group One, Northwood, England. 

 

Rear Adm. David M. Thomas is being assigned as commander, Joint Task Force Guantanamo, U.S. Southern Command, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Thomas is currently serving as director, joint operations, N3, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk, Va.
