Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has made the following nominations:
Navy Rear Adm. Albert H. Konetzni, Jr. has been nominated for appointment to the grade of vice admiral and assignment as deputy commander and chief of staff, U.S. Atlantic Fleet, Norfolk, Va. Konetzni is currently serving as commander, Submarine Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
Navy Rear Adm. Timothy W. LaFleur has been nominated for appointment to the grade of vice admiral and assignment as commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, San Diego, Calif. LaFleur is currently serving as deputy commander and chief of staff, U.S. Atlantic Fleet, Norfolk, Va.
