DoD Identifies Army Casualty

     The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

     Spc. Charles G. Haight, 23, of Jacksonville, Ala., was killed on Dec. 26, 2003, in Iraq.  Haight was in a convoy vehicle which struck an improvised explosive device.  Haight was assigned to the 14th Engineer Battalion, 555th Engineer Group, based in Fort Lewis, Wash.

     This incident is under investigation.
