The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. 

 

            Pvt. Michael A. Baloga, 21, of Everett, Wash., died July 26 in Muqdadiyah, Iraq, of wounds suffered from an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 6^th Squadron, 9^th Cavalry Regiment, 3^rd Brigade Combat Team, 1^st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
